Moving to South Philly?

Hi all,

Me and my husband are in our early 30s (no kid) and thinking about relocating to South Philly.

Reasons why we like Philly:

  1. We want to be car free -- We like to walk to Asian markets (I am Asian), coffee shop & park. We are low key (don't like fancy meal & alcohol-- a good bowl of pho & coffee makes us happy).
  2. The Acela corridor-- my husband & I would like to go to NYC occationally (like once per 1-2 month). I am a huge fan of museums so reachable to DC is also a big plus for me.
  3. Job wise -- I am trilangual and studying to become a paralegal. My husband is a remote IT worker.

Our ideal neighborhood is walkable and family vibe. (We are eyeing on Little Siagon, Bella Vista area for now)

Is there any other neighborhoods we should check it out for our 4 days trips?

P.S. We lived in Austin, rural NC and suburb near Cleveland before this.

Edit: I am flooded with lots of kind & wonderful comments, Thank you! I will update how the trip went!
