I already posted in r/whatisthisbug, but no replies. I live in Northern California. I was visiting my boyfriend’s parents house and they live on a ranch, while we were playing a board game outside, these bugs kept flying or falling down from a tree. No matter how many times we shooed them away and sprayed bug spray, they kept coming back. I have about seven little red bug bites on my ankles. It was hard to capture a picture of them, but if anyone could please tell me what these little bugs are. Thank you.
