This is why you can’t take the internet seriously

How many times have we heard about an upcoming Christopher GOATlan epic flopping?

2007: “Heath Ledger as Joker. Tf??? From Jack Nicholson to this. Smh Nolan has completely lost the plot 🤦🏾‍♂️”
2013: “Interstellar teaser looks sooo boring… and McConaughey, the romcom guy, is leading it??? This film isn’t gonna do well.”
2016: “Harry Styles? What a total miscast. Dunkirk definitely flopping”

All for the above to end up as Box Office hits. It will be the same for The Odyssey.

I’m in Melbourne, Australia — which has the only 70mm IMAX theatre in the entire country. And it’s a 25 minute drive from where I live. SOLD OUT since July 2025. In the US, I’m seeing headlines of y’all servers crashing and being on 1 hour waitlists, just minutes after tickets get released there.

Armchair Twitter historians need to accept the fact that most people aren’t interested to read subtitles for 3 hours, just so the entire dialogue is in an Ancient Greek dialect. Or that the colour of the costumes is wrong. Also, Elliot Page is playing Elpenor, not Achilles 🤦🏾‍♂️
