CC Scam ba ‘to? Someone called me claiming they’re from RCBC
Someone called me at around 10 am claiming na they’re from RCBC. Eto yung number na ginamit - (0963) 629 0105.
The caller said na may nagttry daw na mag apply ng malaking amount using my account earlier today tapos nagrequest din daw ng change ng mobile number.
They know my full name (including my middle name) pero di naman sila nagpaverify ng other details like birthday. I agreed when they asked me if gusto ko daw iblock yung card ko tapos automatically, magbibigay na din saw sila ng replacement. Tapos sinabi lang nila sakin na ibigay ko yung verification code na magtetext from RCBC. Maya maya may nareceive nga ako - IVR Verification Code from RCBC Credit. Since di naman sya purchase OTP or change ng details OTP, binigay ko. Then, tinransfer ako nung caller to one of his agents.
Ang sabi nung agent, since fraudulent yung transaction they had to transfer my online account sa cybercrime unit nila and di ko maaaccess yung online account ko for 3 days. Sabi pa nya, they will provide a temporary password so medyo nag doubt na ko kasi bakit di ko maaaccess yung online account ko.
Ngayon, nagcall ako sa RCBC hotline mismo. Sabi nung agent na nakausap ko, wala naman daw kakaibang transaction sa account ko and di din daw sila tatawag if may ganung instance din. Tapos pinablock ko na din yung card ko and asked for a card replacement. Same din yung sinabi, temporarily di ko din magagamit yung online account ko and card. So same nung sinabi ng first caller.
So ayun, di ko tuloy alam if legit yung tumawag sakin kanina.
