What is that? A raccoon, a groundhog, a cat

Poor thing just going about his day until

WHAM

Not anymore. 

But that’s just life

That’s just part of expansion, progress

Certain sacrifices must be made

And aren’t there too many deer anyway?

And those pesky rabbits are just always eating my pretty flowers

And the groundhogs dig up my yard

And the birds shit on my car

And the squirrels eat the food I put out for only the birds

And that one, that one was taking up too much space

Living on the wrong land

That one was at school, how dare he

What a shame, but nothing to do now is there

A pang of empathy, then forget

Protect my peace

Live my life

While others

Lose

Theirs
