Has the distance for an announcement changed? At the moment Waze tells you about a turn/junction when you are 1 mile and 0.6 miles away. It then gives you the final announcement when you're about 50 yards away. I am pretty sure you used to get an announcement around 200-300 yards before you reached the turn point.

Has something changed in the app behind the scenes?

Edit: for clarity, the issue is that the final announcement is way too late to be of any use, unless you are staring at the screen. The old way of giving you a heads up 200 yards / metres or so was ideal.
