Stream PS5 to PC for FREE with overlays and alerts (no capture card, no Remote Play)

So I've been trying to figure out how to properly stream from my PS5 to PC with full overlays, alerts and chat without spending money on a capture card. Remote Play was also not an option for me because of the constant stuttering and lag.

After a lot of experimenting I figured out a method that actually works perfectly and I have not seen anyone else cover this exact approach anywhere on YouTube.

Here is how it works:

  1. On your PS5 go to Settings, then Users and Accounts, then Linked Services, and unlink your main YouTube account. Instead link a spare YouTube account you do not use. This account acts as a wireless video transmitter.
  2. Launch your game and start a broadcast from the PS5 on that spare account. Set the stream visibility to Unlisted so no random people join.
  3. On your PC download two free programs: FreeTube (a lightweight YouTube player without ads) and Meld Studio or OBS Studio for streaming.
  4. Go to YouTube Studio on the spare account, copy the livestream link and paste it into FreeTube. You now have a smooth lag free console preview on your PC screen.
  5. In Meld Studio or OBS add a Window Capture source and select FreeTube. Hold Alt and drag the edges to crop out the player interface. Stretch it to full screen and add your overlays, alerts, chat and webcam on top.
  6. Your PC then streams everything to your main YouTube account with full production quality while the PS5 handles nothing except running the game.

I put together a full step by step video walkthrough if anyone wants to see the whole process visually: [ yt: @_M_O_D_E_R_ ]

Happy to answer any questions in the comments if something is unclear.
