Titan and Chrisalis humanizations 💫
I changed Chris' design a little bit

I changed Chris' design a little bit
This art is kinda old but anyways
What do you guys think?
I was thinking that Chrysalis would have a huge reason to hate Titan not only because of what happened to her and the fact he hid the truth, but also because he's Saturn's favorite and Saturn shows it everytime he can (he apologised to his moons already, I know, but relationship between two people doesn't charge that fast).
She has rejection trauma because Saturn forgot about her, and all this time Chrysalis hasn't received any parental love or attention from him.
And I can just see her jaw clenching every time she sees Saturn singling out Titan, and his gaze piercing through her ('cause she's a ghost).
I think it's very important take on her as a character tbh
Ok, so, I know SIMP wants the Earth to prove that planets can have life without a star, but WHO CARES if they can have life or not? Genuinely asking. Like, the majority of planets she wants in her army will never even have a chance to have life. What kind of argument would that be?
"We have a planet that sustains life!" "So?"
Why would anyone wonder whether she has it or not, if none of them would have it anyway... This is getting ridiculous when she has THE WHOLE ASS SYSTEM in her hands and she gives it away just for the Earth. Like, why? Why is Earth so damn important?
P.S. ok question solved lol
I'm so proud of them
Kinda miss my old art style :(
Also Titan's humanization changed a lot since then lol
Okay so, let me actually explain this AU properly because it's been living in my head rent-free for months. So. There's this moon called Chrysalis. Or, well, there was. Her name comes from ancient Greek - "khrusallís," which means butterfly cocoon. That's the reason for adding butterflies in her design.
Titan accidentally caused her death. And I want to be really clear here. He was a kid. He didn't plan anything. He just took her to this place they weren't supposed to go - some mountains, forbidden zone, you know how kids are. And they were playing, running around, and then she slipped. Lost her balance. And Titan? He didn't reach out, he was scared. He just watched her fall. Then he ran home. And that's already terrible, right? But it gets worse. Because instead of telling anyone - instead of going to Saturn or literally any other moon - he just kept running. Like, for weeks. He started helping with the roll calls so he could leave her name out. He found old photos and literally painted over her face. He made everyone forget she ever existed. And Saturn has terrible memory, there's always chaos with that many moons, he didn't even notice. Titan made sure of it. At some point, he buried her. And where he buried her, these crystals started growing. Saturn found them later and thought they were pretty. Made them into jewelry. Yeah. The rings. That's the AU version of how Saturn got his rings. Nobody knew.
Fast forward millions of years. Canon stuff happens. Revolution, the Solar System Trials, all that. Titan grows up. He changes. He starts this club for moons - a place where they don't have to feel like just extensions of their planets. He becomes respected. People trust him. He's actually... good. Or at least, he's trying really hard to be. And then Chrysalis comes back. Not alive. Temporal paradox nonsense - the show already broke physics with Proto and Theia, so I'm just borrowing that logic. She's a ghost. But she's not a sad, weepy ghost. She's an adult. She's had time to process what happened. And she's pissed. She finds out that nobody ever told the truth. Her name is gone. Nobody remembers her. Her actual body parts are being worn as accessories by Saturn without anyone batting an eye. And Titan built his entire reputation on top of her grave.
So she starts haunting him. She shows up during his club meetings. Sits in the corner while he gives speeches about honesty and justice. Comments on everything he says. Sometimes she looks almost normal. Sometimes she looks like, you know..like what's left after a planet's gravity tears you apart inside the Roche limit. Just to mess with him. He tries to ignore her. Tells himself it's stress, hallucinations, whatever. And here's the thing that makes it painful: he has changed. He's not faking the good stuff anymore. He genuinely helps people, he genuinely cares about the other moons. But none of that erases what happened. Or what he did after. And she's not asking for forgiveness. She's not asking for a hug. She wants her name back. She wants someone to finally say out loud that she existed.
The story runs on three timelines: • First is childhood. When Chrysalis was loud and messy and desperate to belong to Saturn's family of moons. And Titan was already, you know, anxious, conflict-avoidant, kind of a liar when it got him what he wanted. • Second is the present. Haunting, guilt, lots of arguing. They're constantly trying to hurt each other with words because that's all they have left. • And third is this weird time loop thing where adult Titan and adult Chrysalis get thrown back into the past. They see their younger selves. They see Saturn without rings. They're not supposed to interfere - butterfly effect, don't wanna break the universe more than it already is - so they just have to watch. And remember what got lost.
The title "Butterfly Effect" fits because... you know. One small choice. A kid not reaching out. And it ripples into millions of years of lies, and rings, and a ghost who just wants to be remembered. Chrysalis doesn't want him to suffer. She wants him to talk. Out loud. To someone. Anyone. And Titan? He's spent so long being the good moon, the reliable one, the protector. He genuinely doesn't know if he can afford to stop.
So yeah, that's my AU, you can see some fanarts on my page 👐
The last one is my friend's fanart :D
