Jeeves's First Shiw

For his first trip out we went to a local show and did Intro B (A doesn't have an initial halt and I know I would halt anyway out of habit and C has canter, which he is not yet balanced enough for in a ring) and aside from a very cheeky dip out of the ring at A during the walk ("We're done, right? I think we're done.") that I didn't get DQ'd for since it was a schooling show, it went really well! I wanted him to have a trip out both to show him that going on a trailer didn't mean he was going to be sold (as every trailer trip in his life has meant) and what his job was going to be in the most low-stress manner possible. That he did so well with it was a bonus! In typical Spring show fashion it was raining and in typical large grounds fashion a loose horse came barelling over from the halter ring, but he ignored both with aplomb. Everyone loved him and came over to pet him, and we had a great support crew of friends who fussed over him and fed him many treats. I am super happy with him.
