Travelling internationally with R5 Mark II + 3 lenses - Any Advice?
As the title suggests, I am heading overseas soon and will be bringing my Canon R5 Mark II with three lenses: my 18-35mm, a 24-70mm, and a 70-300mm. I predominantly shoot nature, but will also be using the kit for general travel photography across cities and country towns.
A few specific questions I am hoping the community can help with:
- I am planning to pack my camera bag into my carry-on, but I was wondering if people find a dedicated shoulder bag worthwhile for day-to-day shooting.
- I currently rotate through SD cards, but I am considering picking up at least one 256 GB CFexpress Type B card. Is it a worthwhile investment, or are SD cards sufficient?
- I am also hoping to avoid bringing a laptop and instead use my Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra to back up photos to an external SSD each evening. Has anyone run into any issues with this approach, or have any good suggestions?
Beyond those specifics, please let me know if I am missing anything obvious. Appreciate any tips or any kit suggestions you've found indispensable in your own travels.
Thank you for any help!
