"Ghostly" flickering effect around characters

Hi All, I just started my first playthrough and I'm running into an issue where this "ghostly"/"jittery" effect shows around character models, particularly when they move or when the camera moves. Admittedly my setup isn't great but I'm fine with lowering the graphics to make the game run smoother. I'm running it on low/ultra performance settings for everything except animations and AI, which are on medium settings.

My specs are:

16GB Ram, AMD Ryzen 7 5700 CPU, Radeon Graphics (integrated), Windows 11

Maybe this is naïve thinking but given that this game came out initially on the PS3 there might be some way for me to reduce the graphical settings further so that it can run without glitches/bugs like this on my laptop? I guess this as I've been able to run a few more PS3-aged titles on my machine without any issue and usually on medium settings.

Also could this jitter/flicker be because the character models have a lot of detail in that each strand of hair is rendered? I notice the effect happens more around character's heads than around the rest of their bodies, though it occurs around the rest of their bodies as well.

Is there a way to get non-standard controllers to work on MacOS?

Hi All, I've been trying to get my controller to connect to my Mac but it hasn't been working. I see from the linked reddit post that installing the 360Controller driver might work, but the Github page says it won't work for MacOS 11 and later.

I'm currently on Tahoe 26.5, and am using a Turtle Beach Recon Cloud controller. The controller can be found by my Mac via bluetooth but can't connect, and my Mac knows when I plug it in (a box pops up asking if I should allow it to connect) but it's not recognized as a controller in system preferences or on Steam.
