Something’s been going at my tree’s bark, is this recoverable?
Hi all, something been chewing or scraping off the bark at the base of my tree. I’m thinking it’s a cat using it as a scratching post maybe. Can it recover? You can see the fresh chunks of bark that have been taken off.
Anything I can do other than cover it and hope for the best? Tree was planted about 3 years ago. ~12-15ft tall honey locust. Indiana location.
