Higher salary for someone I recommended
I’ve recently started a new part-time corporate job. My colleagues are great, and so far everything has been going well. Since they’re looking for new people and value referrals, I decided to refer a friend of mine and sent his CV over. I helped him improve his CV, prepared him for the interview, and he ended up getting an offer.
For context, we both have 0 experience in this field or any relevant experience at all. However, his offer had a 20% higher salary. Should I bring this up to HR or anyone else?
I haven’t told him this since I don’t want to mix friendship with money, and I don’t care that much about the money itself. I’m just confused about why there’s a difference.
