Am I too old to become EMS
Hello, I’m 26 going onto 27 in a couple of months in August. I was interested in becoming an EMT and taking classes for it after getting the job and then maybe also going for some firefighting classes after in Charlotte NC. I was a volunteer firefighter for a year and a half to two years up in NY. I moved to Charlotte NC last June. I looked at a bunch of reddits about what age people joined and I feel old joining. Everyone was in emt school at 18-20. Would my age disrupt the class and work environment. Pretty weird being a rookie at 27 with a bunch of 20 year olds while other 27 year olds there are already medics and higher. What do you think?
