What species of caterpillar is this? Found on a sand dune in the UK (+bonus fly)
I'm currently working on a little project that involves needing to id the insects I found on a trip to sand dunes in Studland (south England) in February, however I'm having a bit of difficulty trying to id this caterpillar & fly (?) I caught sweepnetting. Any id suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks!
