School list help! + chance me if you'd like :)
Hi guys! Long-time lurker of this thread and hoping for some school list feedback on the upcoming cycle. Here are my stats, with all projected hours set to August of next year:
General:
- MD resident, OH ties
- No gap year
- Degree: Bio + 2 non-STEM minors, honors
- 4.0 GPA at T50, Dean's List all semesters
- 521 MCAT (130/127/132/132)
- Waiting on PREview exam score
ECs, with leadership bolded. Most of my stuff is long-term involvement:
- Hospital volunteering: since high school but took a break in between. 125 hours, projected 130 more = 255 total
- Non-profit clinic with direct patient work: 60 hours, projected 540 more = 600 total
- Crisis call line: 300 hours, projected 120 more = 420 total
- Refugee advocacy + aid: 400 hours, projected 120 more = 520 total
- DV advocacy + aid: 240 hours, projected 120 more = 360 total
- MA: 200 hours over the course of a summer, more internship like
- Shadowing: 200 hours with 2 different doctors, projected 150 more = 350 total
- Research: definitely the selling point with multiple pubs, 1200+ hours
- Hobbies: writing poetry (with school pub, work honored by my city); videography
