Help ID - Seen on Capri, Italy

Hello! Saw this inclusion in limestone on a hike on Capri, Italy today. About 40-50 feet above sea level. I know all of this used to be underwater. Is it just a bivalve, or something else? It almost looks like spongy bone in the middle, or like it’s tooth-shaped, but I think my imagination could be getting the better of me 😆

Thank you!

Buy Herculaneum tickets in advance?

Visiting Herculaneum this Thursday, May 28. Should we buy tickets to the archeological park in advance?

Grazie!

Help me design my first tattoo please

I’m a nearly-40 woman & have been thinking about getting a tattoo of a bumble bee on some lavender* for four years. I want it on my lateral hip or thigh. I’ve sketched out roughly what I want in B&W (3rd slide; lavender is VERY rough.) I like fine line & don’t like thick black outlines, but I’ve learned on Reddit over the last year that, over time, fine line distorts as it naturally blurs & lighter colors fade significantly. (Someone suggested taking the design, blurring it and turning down the contrast & saturation to see what it’ll look like over time.) I wouldn’t mind getting touch-ups years down the road for the fading and slight blurring... There aren’t many (any) significantly aged fine line tattoos on the sub for aging tattoos, so, asking your advice: What do you think about the bee and lavender examples I’ve found? Would a deeper purple hold up better? Or just more saturation (without over-working)? How could I get away with bumble bee wings without thick black outlines? (I don’t plan to include the little legs — see the rough sketch, which is a posterior view and just a hint of furry leg and pollen pouch.)

Re: Size. I understand tiny designs get muddled over time. I sketched it on my leg and it looks MASSIVE with these dimensions: 1 inch long bee, 2.5 inch long flowering lavender, 2 inch stem. Could I get away with something smaller & it hold up? What would be the smallest you’d go?

Location: I originally wanted this on my inner upper arm but I think my thigh will age better & I don’t always want to have my tattoo visible.

Edit: Removed the rationale for the piece.
