Hi! My colleague gave me this peace lily so I could save the plant (or whats left of it). She‘s overwatered it for months.

I cut off the wilted flowers/blooms already and replaced the soaking wet soil with better draining soil. All roots were rotten, cut them off too.

Now my question is, whether it would help the plant more to grow roots in water or keep it in soil (and maybe change to a smaller pot)?

I appreciate any advice
