Why are we all angry with Seiko? Forget other brands, aren't they doing what all of us do? Be unapologetically imperfect but portray ourselves in a super premium light? Just apply the lens to your favorite watch too. You think it's worth the price? Or is it just a piece of plastic, metal, or some other material made by a cold heartless organization?

Assuming most of us are middle class, don't we do this in our lives too? Glorify political parties and then watch them gradually increase the price of everything? Like the story of the frog in boiling water.

Seiko and many others have fooled a majority of us to appreciate and be okay with overpaying mediocrity. The qc issues were never addressed. Yet we drooled. After the price increase, there will be much more desiring and scalping.

Great job Seiko! Keep it up. We will keep buying your range and other overhyped average watches with our hard earned money. Loot us.

There are so many that flash the above watches like they're the best thing since sliced bread. F91w is ugly, uncomfortable and tiny. As opposed to the Gshock, which is ugly, uncomfortable and gigantic. There was a time when everyone's watch was distinct, even if a majority were Casios. But now, everyone wants what the other has. Forget identity. Forget aspiration to enjoy a bit of difference in the same budget. Forget other brands.

Let's for a change start celebrating the ones who choose entry level watches that are unique and unknown. Instead of dissing them and asking them to follow the zombie herd.

1. Anyone who gets offended by the name of the black variant

2. Anyone who gets offended by hanging the hide of a calf around their neck

3. Anyone who just spent a fortune on it and realising they look more like a junior swimming coach and less like a fashionable person

Brothers and sisters. We have reached the stage where this will be hailed as a great watch. Casio has some fantastic watches and lineage, but this is something you'd find in a small town fair next to the candy floss seller. Probably never purchased from the seller because 150 Rs can be spent on much better things in the carnival. Like chikki.

Gshocks and F91ws are great daily beaters. But please don't elevate these and the moonswatch strapons to the league of good looking watches. Sure, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. But, to err is human.
