Best place to begin investing?

Apologies if this is a reoccurring, annoying post. For context, I’m a 20 year old apprentice and while I make good money, I want a way to optimise my savings. Currently I save to save, not because I need to save. I’m wondering what tools can I utilise, or what is the best book or article for me to read that is a real 101 investment for idiots so I can try to get a grasp on these things to set myself up better in the future. I make fantastic money, shitloads more then the average apprentices and I feel like I have the flexibility to start setting myself up financially for this brutal future it looks like Australia is going to face. I’ve considered salary sacrificing for my super, which I’m keen on starting, and I was looking at buying gold as I’ve always been curious about the reliability and value gold and silver and other precious metals have to offer.

Any advice would be greatly greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance

I mean seriously, do they even bother delivering packages anymore? This one was worth 60 bucks. I get not leaving a 400 dollar delivery out but fuck me dead how hard is it to
