Hi, has anyone here flown with Uzbekistan Airways and taken their bike on the plane? Whats your experience?

Their info about bike transport, particularly the allowed size, is very confusing, stating
„Sets of sports equipment are accepted for carriage as pieces of  baggage measuring 158 cm (62 inches) in the sum of three dimensions, regardless of their actual dimensions, that is, dimensions do not matter.
The size of one set of sports equipment should not exceed 270 cm in three dimensions.“

I am looking at flying to Dushanbe and one option is to get two separate flights via Tashkent with a 3:45 lay-over. Into Tashkent with Uzbekistan Airways, from Tashkent to Dushanbe with Somon Air. The thing is, I'd have to collect baggage (a big bicycle bag) and check it in again myself.

Does anyone here have experience with this? Is this a risk you'd take or is the risk of missing the second flight too high in your opinion?
