Banned by petty mods, images in post
Hey guys, I'm sure you're all aware of the controversy happening over a r/lego, and I posted my own thoughts in a post that got deleted. The reason for deletion made sense, I had posted it 13 minutes after the megathread was posted and I edited the post to acknowledge as such and moved on.
Now I commented in the megathread, asked for transparency. Here is my post archived in case they delete it:
"Hey so I saw the mod team deleted my post.
This still doesn’t answer the burning question I have for the moderation team: WHY did you ban so many users and WHY did you try to delete so many posts about the topic? If you cannot come forward with a clear and concise answer about the manner then I cannot acknowledge this megathread in good faith. It reads more as a backpedal to the backlash than it does a genuine attempt at allowing users to discuss the issue at hand."
Then after the fact I was quickly banned for 45 days with the claim that I posted outside of the megathread, and so I'd reach out to mod staff, and got this exchange.
I then made subsequent edits to let everyone know what was actually going on.
"EDIT: I got banned on a technicality. I was writing a post before the megathread came out, and by the time I finished writing it, the megathread came out. My post got deleted and I edited the post acknowledging the megathread, and I presumed the mods would give me some leeway due to the literal minutes gap. After I made this comment on the megathread, I got banned. Mods don't want me to criticize them and won't reply to my mod mail. Editing this cuz it's all I can do, watch yourselves.
EDIT 2: Mods are claiming my post was an hour old. My post was made at 2:41:58 AM UTC, and this mega thread was made at 2:28:42 AM UTC, a mere 13 minute gap, and that time was spent formatting my post. Do they think I'm stupid?
EDIT 3: https://imgur.com/a/TRYdKrS How professional! Regardless I recommend everyone report this sub for unprofessional and dishonest moderation."
So yeah, lovely staff over at r/lego!
