Got a 7900XT but was gifted a sealed RTX 5080. Which should I keep for 4K single player gaming?

Hey everyone, I'm stuck in a dilemma and could use some advice.

I currently use an RX 7900 XT (bought it for $800 CAD) and play exclusively 4K single-player/solo games. It honestly runs great for my needs, and AMD just confirmed FSR 4.1 is officially coming to RDNA3 cards this July, which should help with longevity.

However, I was recently gifted a brand new, sealed RTX 5080. Since I only care about single player immersion (where ray tracing and DLSS matter), I'm weighing my options for future-proofing:

Option 1: Unbox the 5080 for maximum performance/features right now, and sell the used 7900 XT.

Option 2: Sell the sealed 5080 while its market value is at an absolute peak, stick with the 7900 XT for now, and wait to upgrade until the next generation of GPUs drops. Which path makes more sense for long-term future-proofing?

TLDR; Keeping the 5080 and selling the 7900XT. Thank you all for your feedbacks!
