Fired with cause from current employer, what are the implications for future roles in the industry?
In short, I was fired because I kept on making routine mess ups that my manager says were in violation of code and conduct. I didn't follow the procedures in the deep step by step process one my managers liked for several different tasks, I messed up by depositing a post dated cheque, and I got into a small verbal spat with said manager that resulted in a letter of reprimand. I was not fired for anything fraudulent, nor did I harass my fellow employees.
I will not dispute the for cause nor will I be going to an employment lawyer, I just want to move on and find a new job. I was a licensed professional with a mutual fund accreditation, but the termination had nothing to do with my investing practices. What are the implications of this termination on future roles, especially in regards to background checks? Will they know that I was fired? Is my accreditation fucked? Should I even list this employer on my resume?
EDIT: I live in Ontario, Canada
