need thoughts & ideas on my project (Upgrading Cheap Generic board )

Hey there , i have this moon lamp board that serves as a pre-loaded audio files speaker beside its main function as a moon shape lamp,

it can be considered as a cheap generic product,

I bought it online to find that it doesn’t work as i expected, the light works fine, but the audio doesnt

As I regret buying this e-junk
I remembered that I have an esp32 chip board that i brought hoping to learn about mcus and embedded hardware development to gain more knowledge
(i have basic knowledge and experience on electronics and tinkered many stuff past times ),

so I thought of this as an opportunity to hack this board using an esp board and try to make it serve well as an advanced Iot edge device powered by esp32 capabilities ,

The lamp board does have an sd card slot, and it can be controlled using a remote control besides the nail off/on switch sensor located with the power port, these things “I think“ make this a better tinkering experience for exploring how things work and reverse engineer them somehow ,

With that being said,
here’s my list for this project ;

-make an interface for local devices to manage, control and access audio and light settings (or use a framework serve this purpose)

-adding motion sensor for lighting

-idk im out of ideas

Waiting for feedback, any suggestions could help, any thing,

Thanks for your time reading this post :) :)
