Darktide has a serious issue with solo play and matchmaking for some reason
I would love some insight on why the AI teammates you get are sent from Tzeentch to make this game hell to play solo. I LOVE this game with all my heart and i have worked my ass off to get maxed weapons, armor, and builds for all my characters but what's the point?? When i load into a match and get three crooks with baseball bats, i just think, "Why can't i select my allies like in Vermintide?" It's such a good system, so good in fact let's NEVER use it again! I play online all the time so i have a follow up question; do the people in this sub-reddit even play this game, or are we just pretending? In 5 months i have seen 7 real players in my matches and even the events and quick matches are dry! I miss seeing all the cool fashion and builds that everyone would make but it makes me even happier to see NOBODY and lose on any difficulty above Malice!!! Or am i left out? Is this some Exclusive club that only the best of the best can enjoy? I just want to see real people again or at the bare minimum COMPETENT AI, PLEASE!! I don't want to make a reddit post or LFG just to play a game i love. The clip above makes me want to visit the emperor myself. I got caught by a 200+ dmg swing (it was honestly my fault) but i thought "my AI will surely, SURELY Revive me!" NOPE!!! They would rather punch an Astartes with broken hands for THREE MINUTES then even glance in my direction!! I LOVE DARKTIDE!!!! I don't care if i very downvoted to the depths of the warp or if user/EMPPROTECTS hits me with "well i have never experienced this issue so skill diff and log off". this is a REAL problem and i would even venture to say why people stop playing the game, it becomes a chore to do anything even a little difficult because you're practically entirely solo, it sucks! I just want to enjoy playing this game again, it's not even hard on the high difficulty activities, I'm just playing entirely solo so any small error is a full mission restart like an arcade game. Sorry about the complain post, i just want to enjoy playing this game solo if I'm not going to be matched with anyone.
