Maytag MHW6000 F6E1 error
I have an intermittent F6E1 error code. I have the service manual and have gone through all the troubleshooting steps more than once including R&R all the connectors on the CCU & MCU, remove and inspect the MCU, metered all the cables end-to-end, metered the motor windings . . . . When this first happened about 6 months ago, I had other peculiar behavior such as the Quick Test hanging at C03 requiring a power cycle to recover and the 3 button push 3 times NOT getting into the Diagnostic Mode. With this behavior, I swapped the CCU. That resolved the problem until a few days ago when the same behavior showed up again. The machine throws the F6E1 code. I can clear the code and the machine will run a couple loads. Running the Quick Test, it will run fine a couple times, then throw the code.
I could swap the CCU again, but I'm skeptical a new (6 months old) one would fail in the same way so soon. I am mechanically and electrically competent, but there is a lack of information at the signal level. Would a Appliance Repair Tech be able to troubleshoot to a signal level or would they just be swapping boards?
I would really appreciate any guidance.
Thanks
