Join us for a Reddit AMA with Members of the European Parliament Michael McNamara and Arba Kokalari to discuss the EU’s proposed “Digital AI Omnibus” package and what it could mean for Europe’s AI rules, innovation, and digital economy.

🗓 02/06.26
🕒 15.00 – 16.00

The “Digital AI Omnibus” is the European Commission’s proposal to simplify and streamline parts of the EU’s digital rulebook, particularly around the AI Act. The goal is to reduce unnecessary administrative burdens, improve implementation of the rules, and make it easier for companies, especially startups and SMEs, to develop and deploy AI systems in Europe, while maintaining safeguards for citizens.

Michael McNamara and Arba Kokalari are serving as co-rapporteurs (chief negotiators) on the Parliament’s work on the AI Omnibus.

About them:

• Michael McNamara (Renew Europe, Ireland) is a member of the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) and substitute member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE). He also co-chairs the Parliament’s AI monitoring work.
