Summery, sweltering heat folk horror books?
Any good Summery, hot weather folk horror books?
I'm thinking like Midsommar, but maybe a bit more supernatural, delirious and hallucinatory.

I'm thinking like Midsommar, but maybe a bit more supernatural, delirious and hallucinatory.
I'm looking for a horror book that's got a Night in the Woods (video game) or I Saw the TV Glow kind of vibe.
I'm thinking teenagers/young adults hanging out in a small town, hanging out in diners, parking lots, abandoned buildings, etc. often late at night. Kinda like dreamy liminal vibes, maybe a bit lynchian.
And then for horror, I want a creeping element of the supernatural/sci-fi. For instance, something like a town legend. I've also been enjoying the X Files recently!
I love books with Queer themes! And also it would be cool if it was specifically a Summer vibes read.
Thank you! :))
