So on Wednesday I will get all of my upper teeth pulled and get a top denture immediately after. I'll be awake for the teeth removal, am a little nervous about that, but mostly I am scared for the dentures part. I don't want my face to change, I don't want to lose how I talk, eat, smile, kiss, everything.
(At the end of the month I will get 5 more teeth pulled from my lower jaw and a bridge will be put on. Basically I will only have my back side bottom molars/natural teeth left.
Any advice? I am so scared. What will the first day and night and following week(s) look like for me, as far as healing? I feel like canceling our Sunday plans with friends because I'm so self-conscious and think I will be awkward.
I feel shallow to be this nervous, but I am.
