Learning freestyle hip-hop as a beginner

Hello guys, I started dancing by learning choreography but I realized I prefer freestyle way more.

The problem is I suck at freestyling, whenever I freestyle my body just freezes after 10 seconds or if I try to continue, my moves just look extremely awkward.

I just want to ask for advice from people who have made it, from dancers who can freestyle instinctively. What does it take to reach this level? What kind of training I have to do daily in order to reach such level?

I have tried taking beginner hip-hop classes but they just teach us a party move, maybe learn some of its variations but it stops there. I want to go further, to learn how to incorporate those moves into our freestyle, to connect it with other moves in our library.

I feel like that is the most important thing to train when we want to improve in freestyling, but classes don't teach that and I have to do that at home by myself, but since it is all by myself, I just get lost and become demotivated.

Does anyone relate to me? It would help me a lot to receive advice from people who have already made it! Thank you in advance!
