A few more of my paper floral crafts (with dried elements too)

My roses and poppies were well received last time so I thought I'd share some of the other types of paper floral work I like to do.

First image is two different arrangements. I'm holding the one that's meant to (and looks better when it's allowed to) sit on a table. The one on the wall can be displayed hung up like a painting or on a table. It's in a very shallow wooden box.

Second is one of many panel wall arrangements I've done. My place used to be have the walls covered in these but I've been slowly selling them off or gifting them.

And finally I have a micro arrangement of tiny hand made flowers and some dried. I like making little vases by covering teeny tiny glass bottles with crepe.

A client asked for something "you'd see at a Montreal boutique" but also wanted to keep it under $50. (CAD)

I've been going through my images, trying to find bouquets to share here and this was one from last year that's always stuck with me. Although looking at her now, I'm a little wary of how brown the bracts are on that gladiolus.

Still, it's always a treat to be able to put together something on a budget for someone and being very pleased with the results. Some weeks, the really nice stuff is less expensive and it's fun passing that on to customers.

How do we feel about my crepe paper flowers?

Artificial flowers can be the bane of our existence as florists, but something about crepe paper blossoms look and feel so much more nuanced than mass produced silk flowers.

I started making these on a whim a few years back. Everything pictured here has since been taken apart amd gifted to friends and family. I can also make irises, lilies, ranunculus, lisianthus, alstroemeria, peonies, snapdragons and more. It's a fun hobby.

Anyone else taking work home with them?

About me and the shop:

-been working at this shop for 8+ years. I was recently diagnosed as autstic and I also have ADHD. (I also suspect my boss to be adhd as well, you kind of need a little adhd to run a business like this!)

-as well as flowers, we carry hundreds, if not over a thousand house plants. I'm pretty much the designated plant guy.

-our shop doesn't rest - we're open every day of the week and later than other flower shops in the city

-we offer other services as well, there's a lot to keep track of.

-we're short staffed and this May has been especially hectic with Mother's Day week. I haven't had proper rest since - we had to cover for my boss right after because she went on a vacation, and now she's completely incapacitated with a flu. One of my coworkers is currently overseas (this coworker takes a lot of oversea vacations a year, I find). I've only had two days off this month so far and I'm currently on day 8 of 12 in a row.

-I'm happy with the entire workload, even when I have to man the shop alone. Some times it's quiet, sometimes I'm absolutely insanely busy. But if there's one thing I cannot abide it's the telephone.

I'm 35 and terrified of the phone. Everything about it. How it can go off suddenly while your hands are full. How it demands to be answered regardless of how many people you're serving. The question on the other line can be anything - someone over-anxious about a plant leaf having a spot or it could be something as urgent as a loved one passing. I find i get tripped up so easily on the phone and end up severely tongue-tied.

The worst thing happened yesterday when three phone calls happened at once and the lines ended up messed up and i somehow ended up with a phone against each ear and I froze up like an idiot. Suffice to say, I'm sure they called elsewhere.

I found myself sitting in my chair long after my work day ended, just worrying about every silly thing that could go wrong!

Does anyone have similar issues? Does this sound like burn out? It'd be especially nice to hear from any other neurodiverse folk.
