Non-medication approaches to hayfever/allergic rhinitis.

Hi All,

I was wondering what non-pharmacological strategies people used for hayfever?

Here are mine and my experience fwiw...

Increasing fibre/decreasing UPFs - Seems to have helped with sleep. Although a bit difficult to tell if I'm just sleeping a bit better because diet is better!

Saline nasal wash with manganese - Definitely helped, has allowed me to reduce use of nasal steroids and seems to help eye symptoms.

Hypertonic nasal spray with hyaluronic acid - Made things worse, made my mucous all claggy and minging.

Kefir probiotic (live home made culture) - didn't seem to help and I got a GI infection. 😞

Antiallergy pillow - Wool pillow seemed to help. Pesticide treated pillow made no difference.

Regular bedding hot wash - Seems to help

Wax style products around the nose/eyes - no benefit

Eating honey - no apparent change, although tbf it's early days with this for me.

Air purifier - no benefit

With Tavistock gone, what are the European centres of excellence in psychotherapy?

What the question says really. It doesn't seem like there are any other centres of excellence left in the UK. What is the picture like in Europe?

Audio-Visual resources for psychoanalytically oriented therapies

I'm training in a psycholanalytically oriented brief therapy. I'd really value reccommendations for AV training resources for this group of therapies (e.g. psychoanalysis, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, psychodynamic, ISTDP etc.).

For further info I'm particularly interested in resources with roleplays of actual sessions that highlight techniques/phenomena like mentalisation, transference, defences, formulation etc.

This video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQZPd7e8lXw is a good example of what I would like to find more of.
