Most sunscreen recc are useless for dark skin?
Every "best sunscreen" list is the same. CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, Neutrogena, Elta MD. I've tried most of them and they either leave a horrific white cast, pill under my makeup, or make me look ashy. The mineral ones are the worst for this but even some chemical ones leave a weird gray tint on my skin.
Then people say just get a tinted one as if there's more than 2 shades and one of them matches dark skin. The universal tint is never universal.
I also deal with hyperpigmentation and I know SPF is supposedly the most important step for that but how am I supposed to wear it consistently when every option makes me look like a ghost? It's genuinely discouraging.
What sunscreen do you use and like? And does anyone have a way to check if a sunscreen will work for deeper skin tones before buying?
