URGENT: Toronto baby raccoon needs licensed rehab / wildlife vet triage

We found an orphaned baby raccoon in Toronto after it was observed alone outside for about 2 days/nights with no mother returning. Neighbours checked cameras/nearby areas and still no sign of mom.

We are NOT trying to keep or raise it. We are trying to find a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, wildlife hospital, or legal wildlife-vet channel that can help a Toronto-origin raccoon.

The baby is very thin/bony, young, milk-seeking, and now has diarrhea/slimy stool after temporary feeding advice from a rehabber who was full. We are worried it needs medical assessment/stabilization: hydration check, GI/diarrhea assessment, possible aspiration check, and a safe feeding plan by weight.

Does anyone know:

  • any Toronto-district rehabber currently accepting raccoons?
  • any licensed place that can assess/stabilize even if they can’t admit long-term?
  • any legal transport/referral network for Toronto-origin raccoons?
  • any wildlife-experienced vet/centre that will try stabilization if medically appropriate, not euthanasia as the first option?

We can provide photos, videos, exact point of origin, weight, symptoms, and timeline. Willing to drive where legally allowed. Please only suggest reputable wildlife rehab or wildlife-vet channels.
