I have two chunks of raw lapis, they're around 2lbs each, one is just shy of 900g the other right at 1000g. They've been collecting dust for years and I think I want to make them more presentable without making them much smaller. Would tumbling work? What's the best method for DIY as I don't intend to into rock tumbling beyond polishing these two.

Bought while I was traveling through South Asia many years ago. Didn't spend much, but was curious if it's actually lapis, and would it be worth building/ buying a tumbler and polishing them?

Probably about the size of a softball, one is around 1000g (2lb 3.4oz) the other 870g (1lb 14.6oz)
