Boyfriend (26m) added me (26f) on one Instagram account but blocked me from his other one and I don’t know if I’m overthinking it
I’m a 26F talking to a 26M. We’ve had an on-and-off connection for over a year, but recently reconnected about a month ago and things have honestly been going really well.
A lot of our old issues seem improved now. He talks to me every day, introduced me to family/friends, and recently asked me to be his girlfriend.
Here’s the issue.
Long ago when we first met, I found out he has two Instagram accounts. Both are private. One account has more followers, posts, and seems like his more active/main social account. The other one has very few followers, no posts, and mostly seems to contain close friends/family.
Recently he asked for my Instagram, and he ONLY added me to the smaller “clean” account.
The thing that’s bothering me is that I realized I can no longer search or see the larger account from my profile anymore. At first I thought maybe he deleted or deactivated it, but I checked from a friend’s phone and the account still exists, so it seems like he blocked me specifically from that account.
From what I can tell, there are still girls/followers on that account, though I don’t have proof he’s actively talking to anyone. It mostly looks like old follows/history.
But emotionally, the intentional blocking is what’s really bothering me because it feels like he intentionally separated me from a part of his online life while acting very serious about me in real life.
I genuinely can’t tell if: 1. this is just immature image-management/avoidance, 2. he doesn’t want me seeing old stuff/interactions, 3. or if this is actually a major red flag.
Would you bring this up? Or wait and observe more first?
