What kind of jobs can I get with a work study entitlement?

I received a work study entitlement as a part of my financial aid but I’m not sure what kind of jobs I can get with it. Can I get a dental office job with it? If anyone have any insights please let me know.

Feeling crushed about this year

I swear that hard work doesn’t get you anything. I worked my butt off with volunteering, maintaining a 97%+ avg, running a business, etc. I feel like every time I am close to being rewardedI get hit with absolutely no reward. I was a semi finalist for the Loran scholarship and just before the final round I flung out. Then I got rejected from mac health sci. I know there are probably more deserving people than me but I am so crushed. I see everyone doing better than me. I honestly don’t know why I’m even trying atp. I never get recognition and it hurts. Im so tired. I never get a break I am always studying or volunteering or working.

Getting Shadowing Hours

Hi everyone,

I am going into my first year of undergrad this September with the goal of getting into dental school afterwards. I have already placed top 5 nationally in a Hosa Dental Science competition and have been helping around my orthodontist’s office for around 11 months( just putting away patient files and restocking supplies). I was wondering if its a good idea to contact some low income dental clinic or just dental offices and see if I can help around to gain more exposure to general dentistry. Is this a good idea?

Furthermore, I was thinking about doing a dental assistant certification but in Ontario its not required to do sterilization in the dental office. Also it would take around nine months to get it ( I am starting my undergrad soon so I wouldn’t have the time). Please give some thoughts or advice on how to go about getting more shadowing/volunteer hours?

Committing to Queens Health sci what should I know?

I am open to any tips on course selection, resources and other information to do well in first year. For reference I am going to live 5 mins away from campus.
