When Avoidants talk about their relationships, you hardly ever see them talk about ones with secure people.
This got me thinking that secure people who see their patterns and keep them at arms length, and then eventually leave, may be mistakenly labeled as avoidant by Avoidants.
It would make sense because “they were more avoidant than me” would be a much easier pill to swallow than “they were secure and didn’t want to put up with my bullshit.”
(Note: this thought was also influenced by a personal experience, but that is much too complicated and confusing for me to want to try and explain.)
