Roborock H60 Hub Ultra vs Samsung Jet 85 / Jimmy JV83 — battery and long-term value concerns

Hi everyone,

I’m looking at the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra and would love to hear real-world reviews, especially from people who have been using it for a while.

My main concern is the battery:

•	how is the battery life in daily use,

•	how fast does it degrade over time,

•	and how easy is it to find a replacement battery later?

I’m comparing it with a few other options, like:

•	Samsung Jet 85

•	Samsung Jet 75E

•	my old Jimmy JV83 with a possible battery replacement

I live in Europe (Malta), I have a cat with a dust allergy, and I need something for hard floors only, used every day. I also really prefer cordless vacuums.

I like the Roborock because of the hub/auto-empty system, but I’m not sure if it’s the best choice long term, especially considering battery replacement cost and availability.

Would you choose the H60 Hub Ultra, or would you go for one of the Samsung models instead?

Thanks for any advice or hands-on experience.

Cordless vacuum for dust allergy advice

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to decide what makes the most sense for my situation and would appreciate suggestions.

I live in Malta (Europe) and have a cat with an allergy to dust. I need a vacuum for everyday use, and I really hate corded vacuums, so cordless is a must.

Right now I’m deciding between:

•	Buy a new battery for my old Jimmy JV83: around 100–115 euros with delivery.

•	Samsung Jet 75E: around 299 euros.

•	Samsung Jet 85: around 399 euros.

•	Roborock H60 Hub Ultra: around 379 euros.

My main concern is allergy performance / filtration, because the old Jimmy may not be sealed enough even if I replace the battery. I’m also thinking about battery replacement cost in the future, because batteries degrade and I don’t want to end up stuck with something expensive to maintain.

What worries me:

•	The Jimmy is cheaper to keep going, but I’m not sure the filtration is good enough for the cat’s dust allergy.

•	The Samsung models seem easier to maintain long-term, and I can find third-party batteries on Amazon for as low as 50 euros.

•	The Roborock seems good, but right now I only see the official replacement battery around 140 euros, which makes me nervous about long-term cost.

I’m mostly trying to figure out what is the best value for daily use over the next few years, not just the cheapest purchase today.

So my question is:

Would you repair the old Jimmy, or upgrade to one of the Samsung / Roborock models?

And if upgrading, would you choose the Jet 75E, Jet 85, or H60 Hub Ultra for this kind of allergy + daily hard-floor use?

If anyone has other suggestions in this price range, I’d love to hear them too.
