Advice after ECG

27M - Borderline ECG with T wave abnormality and possible left atrial enlargement — should I get a full cardiology check?

Hey everyone,

I’m a 27-year-old male and recently had an ECG done as part of routine/pre-op testing. The automatic interpretation said:

- Sinus rhythm
- T wave abnormality in septal leads
- Possible left atrial enlargement
- Borderline ECG

Heart rate was 59 bpm.

I also had blood tests done (electrolytes, kidney function, liver function, CBC, coagulation etc.) and everything came back within normal range.

I don’t have major symptoms. No chest pain, no fainting, no shortness of breath. Occasionally I get some anxiety/palpitations but nothing severe.

I was wondering:
- Does this sound like something commonly seen in young adults?
- Would you personally recommend seeing a cardiologist just to be safe?
- Is an echocardiogram worth doing in this situation?

I know Reddit isn’t a substitute for medical advice, just looking for opinions/experiences from people who may have had similar ECG findings.

Thanks!
