Anyone take magnesium for sleep but it causes anxiety
Hi, I have pretty bad anxiety I noticed a trend that my worst anxiety attacks always happen when I’m having gut issues especially constipation which happens all the time i take fiber supplements but still get constipated, so started taking 400mg magnesium supplement with magnesium citrate and glycinate in hopes to help me sleep / lower anxiety and to help act as a laxative since I have pretty chronic constipation and it causes me to get heightened anxiety, higher heart rate, insomnia, bad stomach pains, etc I tried lowering the dose but then I don’t feel like it has any effect and before this one I tried just a magnesium glycinate and it didn’t hurt my stomach but honestly didn’t notice much of an improvement was wondering what anyone’s experience was taking magnesium. I also should mention that I don’t always take it after a meal and take it right before bed don’t know if that could be why.
