[Tenant - US - CA] has anyone had a holding deposit situation like this?

My partner and I saw a unit we really loved and met with the current tenant. The leasing agent wanted us to give a holding deposit (wrote the terms over email but not in a contract), we didn’t send it, he offered us a lease, we said we’d like to move forward, and then said he can’t draft a lease until we send the $1000 holding deposit. Every time I try to call it says he’s on the phone, and now we’ve said we are open to sending a holding fee once we see a drafted lease and tried to schedule a time to talk, he said he offered the place to someone else. I know the place is legit because we went and spent a lot of time with the current tenant. Just hoping to get some thoughts on the situation.

Every time I call a number it says the person you are trying to reach is on the phone?

I’m trying to rent an apartment, and every time I call the leasing agent it says the person you are trying to reach is on the phone. I assume this is how he set up his number, but I was wondering if anyone had experience with this? He is being shady in general lol.

56 holdings llc leasing company?

Hi, has anyone ever worked with 56 holdings leasing company? We’ve seen a place being leased by them and met the current tenant, but having trouble finding anything about them online. They are being a bit shady and was just hoping to learn more about them.

what to do with this space?

potentially renting this house, there’s a weird room in the front leading to what would be a living room. there isn’t another big space for a dining ro table but it would be weird to put a table here. Any suggestions on what this could be?

Before I went to sleep last night I noticed a huge bump on my chin that hurts to the touch. I was wondering if this is cystic acne or something else? I’ve had cystic acne before but it’s never been so big. Warm compress this morning helped a bit and used benzoyl peroxide last night.

Sorry for the bad picture, I also just went running! and I usually wash my face soon after running to not leave the sweat/sunscreen on!

Edited to add: just switched from BC to IUD last month which might be a reason
