Maybe I'm the "uneducated" pegasis but Celestia and Luna were born alicorns. They didn't undergo the ascension like Twilight and Cadance. I see people confused over this in Tiktok all the time. In "The journal of the two sisters" , I can recall it explaining that they were from an ancient civilization, most known as "Skyros" in G5. There lived naturally born alicorns. So yeah, stop being confused - unless I'm wrong, correct me if I am.
