I got my syrian hamster today! i was told hes 4-5months, he has deep bedding (12in), a big wheel(12in), multiple hides, etc, but he wont leave his sandbox, i know hes likely settling in, but he brought bedding from the outside in to make a nest 🥹

Should i clean his next out of the sandbox or leave it in the morning? Also im kinda wondering why he isn't burrowing or anything, i guess its day so hes also probably tired :)

also i do plan on leaving him be until he's ready
