Robinhood can't change address
Not sure what to do. I have been in contact with Robinhood for months now, with multiple case numbers because they keep closing old ones without resolving the issue.
Last year I FIREd, sold the house, and started using escapees.com for mailing and domicile. I guess Robinhood has never heard of such a thing. I've explained this to them for months now. I've sent them registrations, insurance, bank statements, drivers license. Multiple times as they never seem to keep what I sent on file.
No matter what I send though they won't change the address to the correct one on the brokerage or credit card. They won't do it without a utility bill. Well I don't have a utility bill as I live full-time in a RV traveling. Once again they have never heard of such a thing.
I have 2 accounts with M1 Finance, and they changed the address the day I requested it. Insurance, Verizon, starlink, credit cards, banks, all changed it upon request. But not Robinhood.
Not sure what their problem is, and why a simple task can't be completed. I've been thinking about transferring out to possibly fidelity but have been seeing posts about them charging extra fees on trades lately.
If anyone else has had experience with Robinhood address changes and using escapees or another domicile platform, I could use your advice. I like Robinhood and have a lot of money with them. It would be a shame if they can't get their act together to fix this.
Am I crazy or has no one else ever used Robinhood and retired early to travel? Escapees has well over 160,000 people who use it, and there are over 486,000 people living full-time in RVs in the country. Getting tired of fighting Robinhood about this.
