Moving for Dental Hygiene School?
Hi everyone!
I was recently accepted into a dental hygiene program and I’m starting this fall. I’m really excited, but also pretty nervous. My school is about an hour away, and I don’t have reliable transportation to commute there and back every day.
Because of that, I’ve been considering moving closer to campus. The thing is, I’ve never lived away from home before, so the idea of doing this on my own feels a little overwhelming.
I was wondering if anyone here has moved for school while going through a dental hygiene program (or another demanding healthcare program) and worked at the same time. Were you able to manage it? What kind of part-time jobs worked best with your schedule?
My biggest concern is figuring out how to afford rent and living expenses while keeping up with school. I’d love to hear how others made it work and what your experience was like.
