Need help with next steps- possible identity theft?
Hey guys,
Long story short, insane sleep deprivation and a little bit of panic led to falling for 2 things I normally never would. Pretty sure whoever it is has my name, email address (not password hopefully), physical address, phone number, last 4 digits of SSN, old info of 2 cards I’ve since reported lost/stolen and replaced. I‘ve also frozen my credit with all 3 main places, changed bank password and username, turned on sim porting/transferring protection with my phone provider (t mobile if it matters), and a handful of other things like changing/updating passwords, turning on 2FA. Overall, how cooked am I and what else can/should I be doing to prevent them from getting into anything using the info they have on me or opening up anything with the info they have on me? Is my phone number the weak point here and could they just use it as a false “lost password recovery” to get into my Gmail and everything else? I have Authenticator apps for most things including Google but I’m wondering if that’s a weak link. Thanks for any advice you can offer
