Does anyone else feel the gang was equally responsible for Ted not getting over Robin?

The gang's oldest and best friend was Ted. But suddenly they acted like Ted and Robin were equally part of the group. Ted dated so many girls, none stayed longer after break-up. Then why Robin? I get it's the premise of the show. They had to include her as a friend. But would have been easier for both not to have to see each other everyday. Especially Ted. He might have gotten over her faster.

It took idk how many break-ups before Marshall (which actually does make him Ted's Best friend as he was the only one who could see Ted's misery) asked Robin to move out so Ted could be in less pain.

What do you think Barney did to Butterfield's sandwich and in return Butterfield to his coffee?

The title.

Barney and Marshall had a really underrated friendship

I see so many posts about Barney & Lily, and Ted & Marshall, but I really liked the dynamic between Barney and Marshall. Barney got Marshall his internship, and even though Barney tricked Marshall into that, he still might have to take it because of Lily's dress mess-up. He up-talked GNB because he helped Marshall get a job again. He gave all his winnings from that show, where he thought the host was his father. Marshall manipulating Barney into paying for his honeymoon. There are so many moments where you can see the subtle chemistry between them, like Marshall high-fiving Barney during that funeral episode. Barney saying one person storming off isn't enough, Marshall storm off with me, and Marshall does. Marshall always agrees with Barney's antiques like that Philadelphia episode and what not. Marshall also made Barney see his dad, which was so good for Barney's growth, and the whole slap bet run was amazing. I absolutely love seeing Barney and Marshall together.

Claire and Alex sometimes feel so similar to Mitch and Jay!

I have recently been reading a lot of posts on the unfair treatment of Alex on the show. And it just hit me that Mitch was also treated the same way by Jay and Claire. Sure, later on, there were a lot more sweet moments between Claire-Mitch and Jay-Mitch, but only because writers were far more focused on the storylines and growth arc of adults on the show.

But the fact that there are so many parallels between Alex and Mitch being similar, like that episode where Mitch is upset that no one knows anything about him when he pretends to play piano, and when they both are left alone on fake Christmas, and also when they put forth the argument about accomplishments when Mitch wins an award. Jay and Claire have always been a team because they are both similar, just like Claire and Hayley. Both Jay and Claire gave up on being close to Mitch and Alex because they were too different for them. But while Mitch had it just a bit better, and we get to see a lot of development in Jay and Mitch's relationship, I am not sure I can say the same for Claire and Alex.

Phil and Claire had a lot of moments where they were terrible parents to Alex, like saying something is wrong with Alex for being proud of her egg design project when both Jay and Claire were also competitive. Being so involved in interests and hobbies of both their children (magic for Luke and his early projects, and Hayley's photography thing and marketing thing), but not Alex (they didn't even know she sang, which they found out way too late). Always making Alex feel like she was the non-pretty one among the group, being so glad when she was not there during the summer, being uninterested in her studies and curriculum, and how she handled things around her, making her feel like she has to lie about her dates because she couldn't get them, treated her breakdown like it was a joke and not even trying to rectify their behaviour later on, letting her stay awake for 3 days till she was literally begging for help, forgetting her coming home from college and then eating her welcome home lasagna, treating her like a pet dog, and what not when she had her mono, undermining Alex's achievements just so Luke doesn't feel bad that Alex had to say "Maybe next time Alex", actively saying out loud I would rather be with Luke (by Phil) and Hayley (by Claire) when having to spend time with her, paying Hayley to drive Alex when Claire was with Hayley throughout her learning how to drive, leaving her daughter to her own when it comes to her sexuality when she literally gave protection to Hayley when she went off to college, Claire using Alex going to college card to get out of going to Lily's practice. And these are just right off the bat.

No wonder Alex goes to Jay and Gloria when she needs help. I love Claire and Phil, but they were not good parents to Alex.

People can be all like it's just a sitcom, but that is the problem; it's not. It's a reality for a lot of people. Yet all they can focus on is that Alex is mean and rude; if she had been nice after treatment like this, it would have been more shocking.

Unpopular Opinion - Andy and Hayley seems a bit overhyped

I know I am gonna get a lot of hate for this, but I do think Andy and Hayley seem a bit overhyped. I love Andy and Hayley, and even them as a couple. But their relationship was okay, just okay. The only thing that made them stand out was the whole will-they-won't-they scenario. And people are quite quick to forget that they both were cheating, especially Andy, on his gf of 9 years (number could be wrong as I don't exactly remember), and Hayley was knowingly hitting on an engaged man. Andy's gf cheating on him doesn't even have that much effect cause the so-called good guy cheated on her when he didn't even know she was cheating on him, and if Beth is a bad guy, then so are Andy and Hayley. Especially Andy, as he got upset when he found out Beth was cheating on him, which is a double standard. I get that it is a sitcom and all, but people are still rooting for 2 cheaters to end up together.

Even if Dylan is a bit "untraditional" in terms of his intelligence, at least he never cheated on Hayley (as far as I can remember), and that whole you really were my first love to Andy felt a bit out-of-line for the show as she did love Dylan. She cried when she broke up with him, cared about him a lot, and it might not be the love in the exact way as Andy, but it was still love, at least as far as a teenager can think of love. Also, Dylan was really good and respectful towards Hayley, tried to turn his life around, and the writers made him the nurse, but let Hayley do a stupid fake science job, which was a bit of a stupid plot cause Hayley was smart. Anywho, I am actually glad Hayley ended up with Dylan, although I wish she hadn't cheated on Arvin, and if you remove the whole job dimension. And I did not care too much about Hayley and Andy. Just wanted to share this, I guess.

Caroline in S4 felt a bit hypocritical

Now I absolutely love Caroline. I think being a vampire brought a really amazing growth to her, like all those badass scenes and her fighting back and everything was really good. Her relations becoming better with her mother and other people was also a good touch.

But Caroline in S4 seemed a bit unfair towards Elena when Elena loved Damon but everyone thought she was just sired to him. I get that Damon was despicable towards Caroline and Elena and Stefan, but man had started to have some (very, very few) redeeming qualities, and Stefan was her friend, so she would choose her friend over him. But Elena had just turned into a vampire, which she surely could relate to how it could make your emotions so mixed up. After all the nagging to Elena about Damon, just to sleep with Klaus, who is also somewhat similar to Damon. Bonnie also hated Damon, and Damon and Stefan had done far worse to Bonnie than Caroline (In Caroline's case, Damon was the only one worst/ abusive to her).

The only thing that struck me in wrong way was how quick and easy was for Caroline to make Elena feel bad about her feelings. Which kind of seems in line with human-Caroline, not vampire Caroline. I am not saying she should be okay with Damon, but she should be more understanding to Elena, her best friend. Considering she was acting weird.

Peeta in Mocking Jay

Did anyone else feel a bit betrayed on Peeta's behalf in Mockingjay when they left him to his own in the Capitol?!

Like, yes, I get it, in the arena, they had to choose between Peeta and Katniss, and Katniss was more important to the mission, being the face of the rebellion. But when Haymitch said we are getting Peeta out, it makes you wonder why they didn't before, and his answer to Katniss was it's costly. But it was costly in the arena too, that morphling who died for Peeta, Mags who let herself go for Peeta.

Apart from it, Peeta was also important to the cause. If not as much as Katniss, then almost as much as Katniss, and I feel other characters really downplayed it a lot. Katniss would never have been a face of the rebellion just by herself; she wouldn't have defied the Capitol without Peeta's help. Peeta made her likable in front of the audience, especially the Capitol's. Peeta's conviction to love story made them change the rules for victors, which led to Katniss's whole act with nightlock berries. Peeta influenced Katniss in a better way, like his speech with I want to die as myself because before that, Katniss had pretty much accepted her fate and was trying to win only for her sister Prim.

Peeta made the Capitol's revolt for the Games higher by announcing her pregnancy. It was his love that got Katniss and him sponsors, he gave away his earnings from the games to the dead tributes, aided Katniss every step of the way, and was responsible for saving her life. People were moved by him, and the whole rebellion was because of him AND Katniss.

And it seemed like the only person who cared about Peeta in Mockingjay was Katniss; everyone so quickly forgot all his contributions. Katniss was suffering since the start, but just because she hadn't said yes to Mockingjay and they could afford drugging her, as most people didn't even know she was alive, they didn't care. The only time they did care was after her breakdown over a fact which everyone knew from the start. Peeta was being TORTURED there, and they just let him. Knowing full well the limits the President could go to hurt the people. I get why most people wouldn't care, but Haymitch was the one person you would expect better from. He still had influence, which can be seen since Catching Fire, so it felt really awful that he just let Peeta suffer from the start, and only saved him once Katniss broke, indicating that Peeta, on his own, is just insignificant.

TL;DR: Mockingjay made it feel like everyone forgot how essential Peeta was to the rebellion. Yet once he was captured, most people treated rescuing him as optional or “too costly,” even though others had already sacrificed themselves for him before. What hurts most is that even Haymitch seemed willing to leave him there until Katniss completely broke down, which makes it feel like Peeta only mattered because Katniss loved him, not because of everything he himself contributed.>!!<
