Coming to enjoy learning:)
I as many here was “homeschooled” as a kid with my mom as my “teacher”. During the days when she would try it always seemed to end in frustration and tears, especially with READING. Much to say she eventually stopped teaching and I feel veeery behind.
I was able to move out and found a program in my town that helped teach adults and prepped them for the HISET (a GED equivalent) and after months of night classes after work I had a real way to say I have an education, and now I have my GED!
Throughout my childhood and into my young adulthood life I never worried myself about getting a degree as I felt inadequate to do so or without the proper education as well. But now I have been reading more and more and actually enjoyed it!! I have been looking into researching papers and now even thinking of trying to make it into college! Something I once saw impossible now seems like a dream I can strive towards!
I know many people feel they cannot make it and they are stuck but one of the coolest things about us is we can always learn no matter how far behind one may seem.
